Double Entendre
Bloody hell I am knackered! I got wood yesterday and had been dealing with it for 10 hours. My hands are a bit burnt and when I got out of the shower after washing my hair three times it still had traces of that sticky stuff in it!
Yes Readers, I tried out my newly made firepit for the first time yesterday after a kind donation from my new neighbour who had recently felled a fir tree. Worked out nicely. I am aching today, hoping to get a massage on my backside later!
Here are some pictures...

Autumn Time Is Here Forage, Forage.
Yes Readers, it's that time of year again when the temperature starts to dip, the leaves begin falling off the trees and of course plenty of wild mushrooms!
I have been busy most Saturdays for the past few weeks in the local woodland photographing, gathering and getting help identifying some fabulous fungi.
So Readers, here are some photos with names.... I don't mean to sound like an old fart but please be very careful if you decide to go out in the world and collect mushrooms yourself. We may not have many poisonous creatures over here but boy oh boy we make up for it with plants and fungi. Make sure you are 100% certain you know what the mushroom is before consuming it; there are several types which are fine to eat but as soon as you add alcohol into the mix you hit poison town!
I recently found out that the law has changed since I was a nipper. If you get caught picking magic mushrooms (Amanita Muscaria) you will get charged, not so groovy!

Handkea Excipuliformis (Pestle Shaped Puffball) |
Coprinus Comatus (Shaggy Ink Cap) |
Lycerpodon Perlatum (Common Puffball) Oh and credit where it is due, I would like to say a big thank you to Matthew Hutchins from Visual Fungi who has helped me tremendously with identifying various mushrooms and fungi over the last few weeks. Check out the site Readers and donate! It has fantastic information on hundreds of mushrooms in the UK . |
In The Beginning...
Talking to a colleague at work today he showed me that he had started a blog.It seemed pretty straight forward so I though I would share with you dear reader about my life, thoughts and gaming habits!
I should really tell you a bit about myself, so I will. I am 27 years old living in the south west of England, I'm a gamer and totally disillusioned by the political system here and worldwide.I am a hobbyist web developer working on my portfolio which I will show you when I feel ready.
Work wise I'm not employed but I am spending about 8 hours a week working for a local charity dealing with their bespoke database system (access frontend, yuk!).
Well I think that's enough for now, reader.
Enjoy and I shall see you around!
